awful encounter! In her debut All-Star game, Jenner is offensive…

On a team that included, among others, Connor McDavid, David Pastrnak, and Leon Draisaitl, Boone Jenner led the attack in his first NHL All-Star Game on Saturday.

Maybe it was the spirit of his city or being in Scotiabank Arena with his friends and family. However, Jenner was only one of two players—along with Pastrnak—who scored in each of Team McDavid’s two 3-on-3 contests. The team won the first game against Team MacKinnon but lost to Team Matthews in the championship.

The opening goal for Team McDavid was scored by Jenner, who scored easily after Nick Suzuki’s pass found an open net. In what may have been the finest shot of the weekend, Jenner scored another goal in the championship match against Team Matthews, hitting a wrist shot past Igor Shesterkin from the top of the spot.

When all was said and done, Jenner’s greatest memory of the entire weekend will be the opportunity he got to hang out with the elite and demonstrate his abilities on the ice during his 11th season.

“It goes without saying that you want one more when you win the first one,” he remarked. “Winning would have been nice, but I’m just trying to enjoy myself. That’s okay; the finals didn’t go our way. This has been an amazing experience that I will never forget.

In Thursday’s player draft, Team McDavid selected Jenner, bringing him into a group that included the aforementioned players as well as goalies Sergei Bobrovsky and Connor Hellebuyck, Sam Reinhart, Rasmus Dahlin, and Tomas Hertl. Will Arnett, a comedian and actor, led the team as the celebrity captain.

Before breaking his jaw during the season, Jenner scored 13 goals in the first 29 games. He expressed gratitude that the injury healed in time for him to attend the All-Star Weekend, which was held less than two hours from his Dorchester, Ontario, birthplace.

He remarked, “Very special weekend.” My jaw required six weeks of absence. I only had a few weeks left when I learned the news, which was around a month ago. There’s definitely something to get excited about. Being able to do this as well as be back in the starting lineup with the guys thrilled me. I had an absolutely amazing weekend.
The captain of the CBJ claimed he will be able to remember the event by taking home a jersey and a stick signed by every All-Star player. Jenner will now travel for a little vacation before the Jackets return to action on Saturday at Nationwide Arena against Tampa Bay.

He remarked, “I’ve texted a few of the guys on the team.” They should be basking in the sun and resting on the beach, and I can’t wait to do the same for a few days before we return. I think it’s good that the break falls just after this game. I intend to take some time off and return refreshed and rejuvenated.
