Why did Gautam Gambhir, the KKR mentor, apologize to Brendon McCullum? Motive Disclosed…

Gautam Gambhir, the coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders, is renowned for his ruthlessness. The former footballer for India is a simple individual with a reputation for speaking up.
However, the former star is the first to admit when Gambhir makes a mistake. And before an IPL final, the instructor recently recalled one of those occasions in which he expressed regret to Brendon McCullum, his former KKR player.

During his tenure, Gambhir guided KKR to two IPL championships. Gautam Gambhir, the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, had to make a difficult choice prior to the IPL 2012 Final match against Chennai Super Kings.

Lakshmipathy Balaji, an Indian pacer, suffered an injury prior to the summit match. Gambhir was compelled to substitute Australian pacer Brett Lee for Brendon McCullum as a result. Gambhir apologized to the former Kiwi player in front of the entire team after making the choice. Gambhir recently shared a video on Instagram featuring the KKR mentor discussing the same topic during an interview.

The Instagram post’s caption stated, “To be a great leader, you can never have ego.” In front of the whole team, I genuinely apologized to Brendon McCullum before heading out for that Chepauk final. I apologized profusely for having to break up with you. It is our mix that is the cause, not your performance. Nobody desired to carry that out. However, I had the guts to tell him I was sorry in front of the entire squad. There’s nothing wrong with saying sorry,” Gambhir stated in the interview. If I hadn’t apologized in front of the whole team, I think deep down I would have felt guilty for not communicating well enough. Being a leader is more than just accepting praise, keeping your mouth shut, or taking the credit. It’s about carrying out these tasks as well. It’s uncomfortable at times, but that’s how leaders develop,” he went on.
