Breaking: Ex-Celtic Reveals Steph Curry’s Cold 4-Word Message to Boston

After the Boston Celtics won Game 3 of the 2022 NBA Finals, it seemed like they had the upper hand against the Golden State Warriors. However, the Warriors went on to win the next three games, clinching the series. According to former Celtic Juwan Morgan, Stephen Curry had foreseen the Celtics’ downfall before it happened.

Morgan shared Curry’s words after Game 3 in an interview with Tidal League, as reported by WarriorsWorld’s X account. Curry had said, “Enjoy y’all’s last win.” Morgan initially found it hard to believe, thinking, “Nah, he ain’t saying that.” However, Curry’s prediction turned out to be accurate, as Game 3 was indeed the Celtics’ last win of the 2022 season. With this victory, Curry secured his fourth title as a player, and the Warriors claimed their seventh title as a franchise.

Morgan joined the Celtics midway through the 2022 season and played one regular-season game and nine playoff games for them. He was part of the trade that brought Malcolm Brogdon to the Celtics. Since then, Morgan has not played a regular-season NBA game.

During the 2024 All-Star Break, Jaylen Brown spoke with Draymond Green and acknowledged that the Celtics were not prepared for the 2022 NBA Finals. Brown praised Green’s impact on the game and admitted that the Celtics were not ready for the level of intensity Green brought during the Finals. However, Brown expressed confidence that the Celtics would be better prepared if they faced the Warriors in the Finals again.

As of now, it is uncertain whether the Celtics will face the Warriors in the Finals. The Celtics currently hold the NBA’s best record at 43-12, making them the No. 1 seed. Meanwhile, the Warriors are the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference with a record of 27-26. Although the Warriors face a significant challenge to climb back into contention, the Miami Heat managed to do so in 2023.

According to a report by Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer, the Warriors had considered acquiring former Celtic Kelly Olynyk, among others. However, they ultimately decided against it. Instead, the Utah Jazz traded Olynyk to the Toronto Raptors. The Warriors already have a stretch big in Dario Saric, but Olynyk could have provided additional spacing in their frontcourt. This could have been beneficial, as it helped the Warriors defeat the Celtics in 2022 with Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica.
