The Texas Rangers and Major League Baseball have unveiled the schedule for All-Star Week, a series of events surrounding the 94th All-Star Game, which is set to take place at Globe Life Field on July 16.
This marks the first time that the Rangers will host the All-Star Game at Globe Life Field, which opened its doors in 2020. It’s also the first time since 1995 that the Rangers have hosted the game, which was held at The Ballpark in Arlington (now known as Choctaw Stadium).
The events of All-Star Week will be spread across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with a significant focus on Globe Life Field and the Arlington Entertainment District.
Globe Life Field will play host to several events, including the HBCU Swingman Classic on July 12, the All-Star Futures Game, and the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game on July 13, and the All-Star Workout Day and Home Run Derby on July 15.
Across the street from Globe Life Field, at Choctaw Stadium, MLB will set up its All-Star Village from July 13-16. This area will also utilize the nearby eSports Stadium and the North Lawn, with the aim of creating a baseball-themed park in the Arlington Entertainment District.
The Major League Draft will kick off on July 14 at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, and it will be open to the public. The draft will continue for the following two days, with more details to be announced.
In addition to these events, there will be two youth tournaments taking place around All-Star Weekend: the All-Star Commissioner’s Cup and the Jennie Finch Classic. These tournaments will be held at the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy in Dallas.
The All-Star Red Carpet Show, where MLB All-Stars showcase their personal style and greet the worldwide media with their families, will once again take place prior to the All-Star Game on July 16.
