Breaking: Reactions amid Red Bull leader Christian Horner exonerated after investigation

Following an independent investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour, Christian Horner, the principal and CEO of Red Bull Racing, is expected to retain his position after the team found no evidence to support the claims. The investigation was initiated by Red Bull GmbH, the Austria-based company that owns the Formula One team, in response to a complaint from a female colleague against Horner, who is 50 years old.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Red Bull announced the conclusion of the independent investigation, stating that the grievance against Horner has been dismissed. The company emphasized its confidence in the fairness, thoroughness, and impartiality of the investigation process. However, the statement also noted that the complainant has the right to appeal the decision. Red Bull further stated that the investigation report contains confidential information and will not be disclosed to the public out of respect for the privacy of all involved parties, including third-party contributors to the investigation.

Red Bull reiterated its commitment to maintaining high workplace standards and expressed its intention to continue striving towards excellence in this regard. Horner, who has served as the head of the F1 team since 2005, has been instrumental in Red Bull’s success in Formula One. Under his leadership, the team has secured six constructors championships and seven drivers championships. Notably, Max Verstappen, one of Red Bull’s drivers, has clinched the last three drivers titles, with support from his teammate Sergio Perez in the 2023 season, during which they won all but one of the 22 races on the circuit.
