Interesting: The coaching staff at Michigan football has lost more players to the NFL…

There are many unanswered concerns about the Michigan football coaching staff and what Sherrone Moore’s eventual staff composition will look like.

The Michigan football team hasn’t revealed its entire staff nearly two weeks after he was hired. Along with D-line coach Mike Elston, the Wolverines hope to keep Steve Clinkscale, who served as secondary coach and co-defensive coordinator for the last three seasons.

But the fact that neither has made an announcement about their return makes one think there’s a chance they go. Since it was revealed that Jay Harbaugh would be joining the Seahawks rather than the Chargers, that looks even more likely. There is now a void in the secondary, and there have been rumors that Clink is heading to Los Angeles.

Transfer portal exits may result from the departures of Clink and Elston, something Michigan football has so far been able to prevent.

Furthermore, there has been no update on Mike Hart. The Wolverines also need a linebackers coach, and Sam Webb of the Michigan Insider reports that one possibility, Dylan Roney, who has been a GA for the past few seasons, will be joining Jim Harbaugh in Los Angeles. Additionally, according to Webb, analyst Doug Mallory is departing to take a position as secondary coach in Baltimore.

Webb stated that Joe Cullen is being considered for the defensive coordinator position, but it doesn’t appear like anything will be confirmed until after the Super Bowl. Cullen is the Chiefs’ D-line coach.

Although I’ve long believed that Clink should be considered for the position of defensive coordinator, Moore appears to be adamant about selecting an NFL player, much like Jim Harbaugh did with Jesse Minter and Mike Macdonald.
Right now, the only certainty we have is that a lot is still up in the air.
