Thousands of individuals donned their running shoes and took to the streets of downtown Columbus on Sunday morning for a unique run through the city. The ninth edition of the Columbus Blue Jackets’ 5th Line 5K took place, guiding participants on a journey of just over three miles through the Arena District and downtown, culminating with the finish line inside Nationwide Arena.

This year’s event saw a record-breaking turnout, with over four thousand runners participating, making it the largest race of its kind thus far.

Ryan Chenault, the vice president of marketing for the Columbus Blue Jackets, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, stating, “It’s a testament to the 5th Line and the fandom for the Blue Jackets. They’ve been coming out and supporting us in the stands all year long, and this has become an annual event people look forward to.”
