Breaking: Jalen Brunson gave a strong, powerful impression to make Knicks history in the three-point contes

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson is aiming to make franchise history by becoming the first player from the Knicks to win the three-point contest at All-Star Saturday, which will take place at Lucas Oil Arena. He will be competing against newcomers Malik Beasley from Milwaukee and Tyese Maxey from Philadelphia, as well as Tyrese Haliburton from Indiana, Lauri Markkanen from Utah, Donovan Mitchell from Cleveland, and defending champion Damian Lillard from Milwaukee.

Brunson, who had a rough practice session leading up to the event, is optimistic about his chances. He mentioned that despite the unorthodox setup, once the ball is in his hands and he is ready to shoot, everything feels the same. He is hoping for a better performance on Saturday.

In comparison to the most recent Knicks participant in the Three-Point Contest, Julius Randle, who scored only 13 points in the opening round last season, Brunson has a better three-point percentage this season, shooting at a rate of 41.1 percent. This is just short of his career-best set last season at 41.6 percent. Brunson also made history in December by tying the NBA record for the most successful three-point tries without a miss (9) during a 50-point outing in Phoenix.

While Beasley has the best three-point percentage this season, shooting at a 44.4 percent rate, Brunson is right behind him. Despite his struggles in practice, Brunson has a strong chance of making an impact in the three-point contest and potentially making history for the Knicks.
