Who are the Texas Rangers players included in the MLB Network’s Top 100 list?

The MLB Network recently revealed the top 100 players entering the 2024 season, with five Texas Rangers players making the cut. Corey Seager, who was the runner-up for the American League MVP, was the highest-ranked Ranger at No. 6. Seager’s impressive performance in 2023, which included a career-high-tying 33 home runs and leading the AL with 42 doubles, contributed to his significant jump in the rankings from last year. Despite playing in only 119 games due to injuries, Seager nearly reached 7-bWAR player status. If he can maintain his health, the 29-year-old could be in contention for the MVP title in 2024 after finishing as a runner-up last season.

Seager was also recognized as the top shortstop in baseball and the second-best player in the AL, just behind Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees. Ronald Acuña Jr. of the Atlanta Braves secured the top spot overall, followed by Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Marcus Semien, who led the AL in hits, was ranked No. 21 overall and the second-best second baseman. Adolis García, the right fielder and ALCS MVP, rounded out the top 40 at No. 39. Nathan Eovaldi, a right-handed pitcher, and Nathaniel Lowe, a first baseman, secured the final spots in the top 100 at No. 91 and No. 98, respectively.
